Outpatient & Continuing Care Services

Recovery does not end when residential treatment is completed. For many people, ongoing support plays an important role in building stability, strengthening recovery skills, and maintaining positive change over time. White River Recovery’s Outpatient & Continuing Care Services provide accessible and flexible therapeutic support for individuals seeking help with addiction and related challenges, whether they are beginning their recovery journey or continuing it following residential treatment.

For individuals considering treatment, outpatient support offers an opportunity to begin addressing substance use concerns in a safe and supportive environment while exploring the most appropriate next steps. Through our network of trusted professionals, we can connect clients with therapeutic services, counselling, and recovery support services tailored to their specific needs and circumstances. For some, this support may be sufficient to begin meaningful change. For others, it can help prepare them for a residential treatment programme when they are ready.

For former White River Recovery clients, continuing care provides ongoing support, accountability, and guidance during the transition back into everyday life. Continued therapeutic engagement can help individuals manage challenges, strengthen coping strategies, maintain motivation, and reduce the risk of relapse while building a healthier and more fulfilling future.

Michele Morphitis

The service is led by Michele Morphitis, a highly experienced psychotherapist and addiction specialist who has supported individuals, families, and professionals affected by addiction, trauma, mental health challenges, and relationship difficulties. Her compassionate, client-centred approach helps individuals better understand the underlying factors contributing to their struggles while developing practical strategies that support long-term recovery and wellbeing.

Whether you are taking your first steps towards recovery or seeking ongoing support following treatment, our Outpatient & Continuing Care Services provide professional guidance and personalised care designed to help you maintain progress and continue moving forward with confidence.

FAQs

Sometimes, porn starts out as a way to switch off or escape. But over time, it can become something harder to let go of. You might keep going back to it, even when you know it’s causing problems. Maybe it’s become a way to deal with stress. Maybe you’re keeping it secret. You might even feel a bit distant in real-life relationships, but not know how to fix it.

You might notice that it’s getting harder to stop. You could be spending more time than you’d like on it, feeling ashamed afterward, or noticing a growing gap between you and your partner. Some people start to feel numb or emotionally distant.

Yes. With the right kind of therapy and support, it’s possible to break the cycle. You don’t have to figure it out alone. Change is possible when you feel safe enough to talk about what’s really going on.

If you’re thinking about reaching out

You don’t have to have everything sorted out before you call. You don’t need a plan. You just need to take the first step. If you’re unsure what that looks like, we can talk it through. No pressure. Just a real conversation. You can call us on +27 76 350 9868 or email us at bookings@whiteriverrecovery.com.
